Who created 11:11 Magazine and why?
11:11 Magazine was downloaded to Simran Singh in June of 2007. After a series of difficult life experiences, these numbers, which had appeared to her all of her life, began appearing constantly over several weeks. In the midst of a dark depression, after having lost much in her life that had been valued, at every turn she would see flashing on clocks 1:11 or 11:11…even at times when it was not. After a couple of weeks of this, she asked aloud, ‘What do you want with the 11:11? Either tell me or make it stop!’ In that moment a complete download of the first issue of 11:11 Magazine appeared in her mind, in a way she could see every word, image and concept. Then she heard the words inside her own head, in her own voice, ‘Do this Now!’ With no prior experience in the magazine industry, she went to her computer and began re-creating what was in her mind. Since that time every event involving 11:11 Magazine has been an amazing synchronicity of events, leading to a national online radio show, 11:11 Talk Radio, readers throughout the world and subsequent beautiful issues that create themselves. Although Simran would love to take credit for this beautiful piece, she states that she simply stewards this magazine…it creates itself for the highest good to be done.

Is 11:11 Magazine a religious affiliation?
11:11 Magazine is a Life Learning Tool meant to support individuals in personal discovery and empowerment. With no specific religious affiliation, 11:11 is more spiritual in nature, meaning it allows individuals to connect to their heart center, applying the information to whatever resonates most fully. The Founder and staff at 11:11 embrace all pathways, ultimately understanding we are each unique in our approach and many methods of expression lead us to the same desired place. Education and understanding are what will allow the mind to broaden, the heart to open, and humanity unite. Our mission is to uplift, inspire, empower and connect people throughout the world.

What do you mean by spirituality? Is that religion?
Spirituality is experience, not doctrine. Spirituality is a part of all religions, not designated to any specific one. All beings are spiritual though all may not be religious or affiliated with a religious institution. This approach honors questions, mysteries, and journeys of discovery over dogmatic answers, fear, ignorance, unconscious living and closed systems. Respecting and drawing upon the world's great wisdom traditions, as well as the latest insights from medicine, psychology, sociology, ecology, and the natural sciences, we speak to the soul, feeding the heart and quieting the mind.

What does 11:11 Magazine mean by health and well-being? In the broadest sense, this includes individual health in body, mind, heart, and soul,  along with the kind of self-oriented health linked to healthy relationships, families, workplaces, communities, governments, and eco-systems.

Is all spirituality positive?
No. There's a dark side to the force and it's our responsibility to acknowledge it, indeed to study it. The soul is here to discover both its Light side and its dark nature. Only in integrating these to halves can the human being discover its wholeness and uncover the true lessons the soul has desired to remember.
